Weight Loss Update
Hey guys! Sorry I've been absent for so long but after getting back from Vegas, it was really hard getting back into the swing of things. My sister and my nieces have also been visiting since I came back. Sooo I've just been trying to keep everyone occupied. I just wanted to stop in and share a quick picture of my progress so far. I've been doing taebo everyday. I'm still down the same 20 lbs and now I'm focusing on getting toned before I do my next round of hcg.

Vacation Hair
OK yall! I'm leaving for Vegas in a couple of days and I'm still trying to get everything together. I know it's going to be extremely dry and I had a lot of breakage on my last trip. My plan is to do a weave and keep my hair that's out in a stretched state. My main product is going to be Oyin Handmade's burnt sugar pomade. Glycerin in the desert is the DEVIL! Tomorrow I'm going to do a henna treatment and a deep condition with my new steamer in preparation. I will be sure to post pics of my do throughout my trip and keep you guys posted on how my plans work out. PS I'm also thinking of going back to using infusium23. I used to love it back in the day!

World Natural Hair Health & Beauty Show 2011
I just got back from Atlanta and I have to tell you that It was everything I thought it would be and more! While I was there I attended the Monroe sisters meetup as well as the Curly Girls Rock meetup. They both had an excellent turn out and were very well organized and great events. There were so many people at the convention center on Saturday for the hair show it was wonderful to see. Everyone was friendly and positive and I had a great experience the whole weekend. If you have the chance to get there next year I highly recommend it!

The HCG bandwagon
Last Friday I started phase 1 of the hcg diet. I didn't have a scale so I didn't weigh myself. If you're familiar with the diet then you know that the first two days are load days where you eat a lot of fat. You are supposed to gain a couple of pounds. I did weigh myself on my first day of calorie restriction and I was 220lbs. How the hell did I let that happen? That was on Sunday and today is Thursday. This morning I weighed myself and I was 212. So far so great! I am sooooo happy I tried this diet. I'm around 5"8 so I think I'll be comfortable in the 180s. If you want to see my before photos they are in my weight loss journey video. Can't wait to come back with the after.

I admit it, I love Afroveda!
Like most naturals who use Afroveda products, I was really upset with them for raising their prices. I also vowed to never purchase another product from them, unless they were at a hair show or something and they were giving 50% off. Well the other day I used my last bit of my shea amla whipped butter cream and I have to admit that I'm a little sad. This product works wonders on my hair and I realized that I don't care how much it costs. I just have to have it. I recently ordered a sample pack of all different kinds of butters to make my own hair moisturizer. I'm going to do my best to recreate the magic, but if all else fails, I will be buying my shea amla again.
